FAQ's
Parts and Inventory
Yes, when they come from a seller who inspects and tests parts before listing them. A lot of used parts come from vehicles that were only a few years old before an accident or insurance total took them off the road. The part itself may be in excellent condition even though the car is gone. Reliability comes down to how the part was sourced and handled, not the fact that it is used.
In many cases, yes. A used OEM part was made by the original manufacturer for that exact vehicle. A cheap new aftermarket alternative is often built to a lower price point and can fail faster. If durability matters to you, the OEM versus aftermarket question is more important than new versus used.
Have your 17-digit VIN ready along with your year, make, and model before you search. For parts like engines, transmissions, and electrical components, small differences in trim level can matter. Searching by VIN is the fastest way to confirm compatibility and avoid ordering something that fits a similar model but not yours.
A used engine listing covers the block assembly with the heads, which is the core long block with internal lubricated parts. It does not automatically include accessories like the alternator, starter, or intake manifold. Those components may be left attached for convenience during installation but are not part of the warranty unless specifically stated at the time of sale. Always confirm exactly what is included before buying.
Yes. Listings on our website show photos of the actual part you will receive, not stock images. Each listing also has a stock number you can reference if you call us with questions.

Ordering
You do not always need it, but it is the fastest way to confirm exact compatibility, especially for engines, transmissions, and electrical components. Having it ready before you search saves time and reduces the chance of ordering the wrong part.
Be as specific as you can. Instead of just searching "alternator," try "alternator 3.5L V6." If you have a part number from the failed part itself, your mechanic, or your owner's manual, use it. If you are still stuck, call us at 574-288-4423, and our staff will help you identify what you need.
Call us. We work with a large network of salvage yards and can often locate parts we do not have in stock. If we have to special order it, a 50% deposit is required upfront, and special orders cannot be returned.
Shipping and Pickup
Most in-stock parts ship within a day or two of the order being confirmed. Larger items like engines and transmissions can take longer due to freight logistics. Once a package is with the carrier, delivery timelines are outside our control. For anything time-sensitive, call us before ordering.
Call us right away at 574-288-4423. Keep your order details handy. We will work with you to sort it out.
You are welcome to come to our yard at 25926 State Road 2, South Bend, IN 46619. Call ahead to confirm the part is ready for pickup. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
Warranty
No. Labor is never covered under our warranty. The warranty covers the part itself only. If the part fails within 90 days, we will refund or replace it, but any installation or removal costs are your responsibility.
No. All body parts are sold as-is with no warranty.
The warranty is void if the part has been taken apart, altered, or overheated. We use heat tabs to check for overheating. If they are melted or missing when a part is returned, the warranty does not apply.
If the part fails within the 90-day warranty window, yes. Contact us as soon as possible with your order details, and we will walk you through the process. The warranty does not apply to parts that have been altered, disassembled, or overheated.
A core is your old part being replaced. When you buy certain parts like engines or transmissions, we charge a refundable core deposit upfront. You get it back when you return your old part within 30 days. The returned part must be the same as what you purchased, complete, rebuildable, free of physical damage, and fully drained of all fluids. We do not accept cores that still have fluids in them.
